At Saville House, we never like to miss an opportunity to enrich our children with the skills and knowledge that we feel will help them grow in confidence and independence. We believe that lunch times should teach children about the importance of sustainable foods, the environment, healthy eating and multiculturalism and we even have our own allotment as part of our forest schools programme which will recommence from September 2021.

Our School food is prepared fresh every day in our on-site kitchen and served in our Dining Hall at 12.30pm. Where possible we use locally-sourced ingredients and always ensure our food is of the highest possible quality including fresh milk, free-range eggs and red tractor certified meat products.

We are passionate that our lunch times foster a sense of occasion and community within the school, that promotes social skills and table manners, because of this, we do discourage packed lunches. However, we do recognise that there may be some exceptional circumstances where parents would prefer to send their child with a packed lunch (please discuss this with the Head of School). We are happy to cater for children with allergies or cultural preferences, our Chef's have a range of experience in adapting our dishes to suit all needs.
